Professional Development: Technology

Most educators are required to implement technology in the classroom. The curriculum being planned out should consider some technology lessons for educators to deliver their instruction. Furthermore, in higher education there needs to be a class for educators to learn how to integrate technology in the classroom and why it is important. Additionally, professional developments are offered by the school's administration team who should provided training during that time for teachers to learn the new technologies being offered. There are questions I sometimes ask myself such as, How come a student is not using the computer for the assignment? Why is playing Kahoot better for some students? Where do I implement technology in the classroom? If professional development is provided at every higher institution than future educators will be trained and existing teachers can receive the extra training to ensure they can offer lesson that integrate technology. Some may say professional development what is that? How can we provide a meaningful professional development for teachers to feel supported when delivering instruction.? More importantly, depending on the subject there should be more training involved which means find technology resources that support your subject matter and others if you can.
